Government releases guidance for working safely

To help businesses prepare to reopen their doors, the government has released guidance to help employers, employees and the self-employed understand how to work safely during the coronavirus pandemic.

There are 8 guides covering a range of different types of work and the government has advised that companies and individuals may need to use more than one of the guides as they think through what you need to do to keep people safe.

The guides include shops and branches, for people who work in or run shops, branches, stores or similar environments and guidance for people working in, visiting or delivering to other people’s homes.

The government have also detailed Practical actions for businesses to take in their 5 steps to working safely.

It is believed that shops will be in a position to begin a phased reopening from the 1 June.
